This year's conference includes a temple session. Early Saturday morning come join with other mid-singles for an opportunity to serve those that have already gone and enjoy the spirit and peace of the temple.

This group is attending the 6 am session on Saturday. All those interested need to be in the assembly area at least 5 mins before the session starts.

Clothing is available to rent for those from out of town, but don’t forget your recommend. After the session we will head back to the Scott Creek chapel to join the rest of the group for a continental breakfast before enjoying the rest of the day.

• It was the second temple built in California, following the Los Angeles Temple.

 

• It is the only Latter-day Saint temple with five spires.

 

• The site for the Oakland California Temple was purchased in 1942 after 14 years of negotiations due to various obstacles that blocked its purchase.

 

• Over 347,000 people visited the Oakland California temple during its month-long open house. On the final Saturday, people stood in line for almost two hours in the rain waiting to get inside.

 

• The exterior of the Oakland California Temple features two 35-foot sculpted panels depicting Jesus teaching in the Holy Land (north side) and Jesus appearing to the Nephites (south side).
